In 1950:

Edw. C. Levy Co. contracts with Great Lakes Steel to move uncrushed slag off Zug Island in River Rouge, Michigan.

In 1954:

McLouth Steel Corp. makes a slag disposal agreement with Edw. C. Levy Co.

Edw. C. Levy Co. builds two new slag processing plants in Trenton, Michigan.

Also in the 1950s:

Old Slag Truck

Edw. C. Levy Co. begins additional metal handling and processing services for steel companies.

Edw. C. Levy Co. develops processes for metal reclamation from steel-making slag.
