In 1961:

Delta Trucking Co. is formed for hauling aggregate products to customers.

The Dix Ave. slag plant in Michigan undergoes a major cost and quality rebuild program and becomes one of the most efficient aggregate plants in the United States.

In 1962:

Edw. C. Levy Co. acquires three asphalt plants from Cadillac Asphalt Paving Co., and forms Asphalt Products Co.

Edw. C. Levy Co. develops & patents a mobile carrier for liquid slag in cast steel pots.

In 1963:

Land and zoning is obtained in Lyon Township, Michigan and the operation of Lyon Sand & Gravel Co. begins.

In 1964:

A new sand & gravel plant is built at Lyon Sand & Gravel Co. in Lyon Township, Michigan.

Edw. C. Levy Co. acquires Clawson Transit Mix Co.'s three plants.

Edw. C. Levy Co. builds new concrete plants at:

- 8800 Dix Ave., Detroit, Michigan

- Hastings St., Detroit, Michigan

- Little Mack, Roseville, Michigan

Edw. C. Levy Co. purchases trucks & equipment, and leases land from Holloway Construction Co. (formerly Livonia Transit Mix Co.) and begins operating a ready-mix business in Redford Township, Michigan.

Eagle Trucking Co. is formed in Wixom, Michigan to haul aggregate from sand & gravel operations in outlying areas around Detroit, Michigan.

Detroit Lime Co. is formed to supply burnt lime to the steel & other industries, and a new plant is constructed in Detroit, Michigan.

Edw. C. Levy Co. licenses Kress Corp. of Brimfield, Illinois to build the patented pot carriers.

In 1966:

Falcon Trucking Co. is formed as an aggregate hauler and cement-hauling carrier, utilizing some owner-operator trucks to haul aggregate materials.

Edw. C. Levy Co. constructs a new, central-mix concrete plant in Southfield, Michigan.

In 1967:

An inactive concrete batch plant in Plymouth, Michigan is purchased from Texas Industries.

An inactive concrete batching and mixing plant in Sterling Hts., Michigan is purchased (formerly Allied Transit Mix Co.).

A limestone quarry & processing plant on Kelleys Island, Ohio is purchased from Medusa Cement Corp.

In 1968:

A new central-mix concrete plant is erected at Lyon Sand & Gravel Co.

The Warren, Michigan asphalt plant is moved to Lyon Township in Oakland County, Michigan.

Edw. C. Levy Co. begins foundry waste-metal recovery at Ford Motor Co. Dearborn, Michigan

Edw. C. Levy Co. purchases Breckling Concrete Co. in Cleveland, Ohio and then leases it to Collingwood Shale Co., retaining the dock property.

In 1969:

Edw. C. Levy Co. purchases the Killins Gravel Co. in Ann Arbor, Michigan and begins the operation of a central-mix concrete plant.

A new asphalt mixing plant is erected in Sterling Hts., Michigan.

Edw. C. Levy Co. obtains a contract for slag purchase, metal reclamation and mill services at the Burns Harbor Plant of the Bethlehem Steel Corp in Indiana. New facilities for processing, maintenance and administration are built.

Edw. C. Levy Co. moves a central-mix concrete plant to Pontiac, Michigan from Roseville, Michigan. (The Roseville site is sold).

Edw. C. Levy Co. develops a slag, lime, fly ash stabilized base mix under the trade name "Slagcrete".
