In 1991:

Centennial Materials Co. is formed to acquire Hallett Minerals Co.'s aggregate leases and property in Colorado.

In 1992:

Australian Metal Recovery (AMR), a scrap detinning facility, begins operations at BHP Steel at Port Kembla, Australia.

Centennial Materials Co. purchases McClain property for sand & gravel production.

Exact Express was started to haul heavy equipment and liquid asphalt, and for specialty hauling for the Michigan market.

In 1993:

Edw. C. Levy Co. forms the Mercier Analytical Laboratory Co.

In 1994:

A new slag handling contract with Steel Dynamics Inc. in Butler, Indiana is obtained.

Mesa Materials Co. purchases Luke Ranch for the Sun Plant (aggregate and asphalt) site near Phoenix, Arizona.

Global Stone Co. leases the Detroit Lime Co. from Edw. C. Levy Co. with an option to purchase.

In 1996:

The following mini mill services are formed:

- Fulton Mill Services at Northstar BHP Steel in Delta, Ohio

- Charleston Mill Services at Nucor Steel in Berkeley County, South Carolina

- Midwest Mill Services at Keystone Steel Co. in Peoria, Illinois

Centennial Materials Co. exercises the option to mine rhyolite in Douglas County, Colorado.

Joint ventures are formed in Thailand creating SSMS (Siam Steel Mill Services) and CSMS (Chonburi Steel Mill Services) which obtain slag contracts to serve 6 steel mills.

In 1997:

Edw. C. Levy Co. wins a renewed slag contract with USX in Gary, Indiana.

Edw. C. Levy Co. acquires Vulcan Materials sand & gravel operations in South Bend, Indiana.

Edw. C. Levy Co. sells the Clawson Concrete plant in Flint, Michigan.

American Aggregates' Michigan sand & gravel operations are acquired from CSR.

West Coast Industry's concrete plants are sold.

The Miller Road aggregate dock is opened on the Rouge River in Dearborn, Michigan.

In 1998:

Edward C. Levy Co. at its Canton, Ohio facility serving The Timken Company Faircrest and Harrison steel mills received an unconditional ISO 9002 certification from the Audit Committee.

Northwood Transportation acquires the assets of Northwood Transport to haul cement product to concrete paving industries.

Norse Trucking was established in the Oxford, Michigan area to handle aggregate shipments from Northern Oakland County, Michigan sand & gravel pits.

In 1999:

Fulton Mill Service Co. at its Delta, Ohio facility serving the North Star BHP Ltd. steel mill received an unconditional ISO 9002 certification from the Audit Committee.

Chonburi Steel Mill Services Ltd. and Siam Steel Mill Services Ltd. both located in Thailand successfully achieved the ISO 9002 standard.

Australian Metal Recovery at its Port Kembla Australia Detinning Plant achieved unconditional ISO 9002 certification from the accredited auditor.
