 Edw.
C. Levy, the founder of the Edw. C. Levy Group, demonstrated a prescience
that was to be the cornerstone of his company's success: an understanding
of the importance of preserving and developing the world's natural
resources. Realizing these resources are finite, and that exploiting
them would lead to their exhaustion, Mr. Levy became a pioneer in the
concept of recycling when he established the company in 1918. Since
then, a culture of environmental awareness has emerged, and the Edw. C.
Levy Group is internationally regarded as the forefather of corporate
responsibility and ethical business practices in the steel mill and slag
handling, processing and marketing fields.
Chonburi Steel Mill Services (CSMS)
and Siam Steel Mill Services (SSMS) maintain this tradition and
bring to Thailand the vast experience of the Edw. C. Levy
Group. To further the international reputation of the parent company,
both CSMS and SSMS sought to upgrade their already stringent product
and service quality management systems, and have confirmed the unrivalled
standards of their slag aggregate production with the ISO
