Usage Guide: |
| |
| The
6AAA Blast Furnace Slag and MDOT 4AA coarse aggregate should be proportioned in the batch
plant into a 40 percent 4AA and 60 percent 6AAA by weight blend as detailed in the
Grade P1 Modified specification. The
coarse aggregates should then be blended into the concrete mixture along with the cement,
fine aggregate, water, admixtures and any special additives in the proportions detailed in
the mix design. Care needs to be taken to
maintain the moisture content of the 6AAA Blast Furnace Slag at or above the absorption
level (3.5%-4.5%) so as to prevent the absorption of mix water into the Blast Furnace Slag
particles. |
