Position: Performance Improvement Coordinator

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates and facilitates efforts related to performance improvement within various business lines. Coordinating the development and implementation of performance improvement processes including Lean Manufacturing principles, Gathering and analyzing data for performance measurement and making recommendations Conducting training needs analyses. Developing and implementing training programs. Coordinating and conducting training classes. Developing and supporting quality management systems (i.e. ISO certified systems). Writing and maintaining various forms of documentation. Developing and implementing internal and external customer surveys including analyzing survey data and making recommendations. Coordinating and facilitating meetings. Coordinating internal Company newsletter. Assisting with the development and monitoring of the department’s budget and business plan. Supporting departmental goals and objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Windows software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Visio and Publisher. Knowledge of basic office machinery. Basic math skills. Works well independently and within a group setting. Knowledge of various quality tools including flow charting, problem solving and process documentation. Basic facilitation and training skills. Intermediate writing skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Management, employees and other staff personnel. Ability to travel. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree

Position: Logistics and Distribution Manager

Location: Levy Corporate Office-Dearborn, MI

Description
Establishes the budget and manages the overall profitability of the distribution function. Coordinates the distribution of natural and slag aggregates through optimum utilization of trucking assets. Facilitates interaction between trucking managers, dispatch, sales department, and plant operations to help meet customer needs. Understands the dynamics of aggregate and trucking pricing integration and its impact on the ability to sell and distribute. Drives utilization of eAM module to manage parts inventory and track equipment costs. Works with Human Resources to administer and negotiate effective labor agreements. Supports trucking managers and dispatch personnel in accomplishment of their goals. Identifies opportunities to improve aggregate distribution. Negotiates effective contracts with broker drivers. Maximizes truck routing efficiencies, including minimization of empty backhauls.
