Steel Mini Mill Services

Our services include slag removal, and the processing and marketing under the product name Furnastone™. Part of those services is the removal of scrap steel and sizing for return and remelting. Scrap coil and tundish skull cutting are specialties. Raw materials, slabs, and billets are transported by special carriers. We offer ladle debricking, scrap management and blending, slab conditioning/scarfing, and tundish management services.

Levy services include automatic cutting of tundish skulls, buttons, ingots and slabs into appropriate sizes for re-melting, using smoke free technology.  Narrow cuts waste less metal than the usual lancing methods. This service is an important benefit to our steel mini-mill partners.		A similar hand held torch can be used for preparing heavy steel sections for welding repairs, with minimal fumes.
